4-30-08 Sketchbook Entry

Today's sketch is from a grouping I did while the girls were out riding in the field. This is the first time both girls have rode in the field this spring. Next time I will definitely bring out a camera, because the late afternoon sun was stunning on the horses and the girls pony tails, flying in the wind.

Darn if my old scanner isn't compatible with Windows Vista. The good news is I passed my old computer on to the girls, so I will move my scanner down to their computer and do some jump drive transfers. Cheaper than buying a new one, especially since this one still works fantastically. Or it did with Windows XP!

4-29-08 Sketchbook Entry

Maggie at Greywaren Art has committed to sketching people every day until the end of the month, and so I am committing to doing the same. Well, kinda, sorta. I am going to sketch a horse or two a day and post an entry each day, and I'm going to do it for the month of May. Looks like I will need to get my scanner up and running with my new computer system also.

Today I sketched from memory a five minute sketch of Emmett. I love how foals have such curiosity and I tried to express that in your face curiosity in this close up.
